Worship Team Volunteer Requirements – Woodmark Church
Spiritual Expectations
• Committed follower of Jesus Christ and growing in personal devotion.
• Regular attendee of Woodmark Church and aligned with our mission and values.
• Worships God both on and off the stage, understanding that leading worship is a spiritual responsibility.
• Demonstrates humility, servant-heartedness, and a desire to glorify God rather than self.

• Teachable and open to feedback.
• Punctual, prepared, and dependable.
• Collaborative and encouraging toward others.
• Passionate about worship and excellence without being performance-driven.

Skill Requirements
• Musicians: Proficiency on your instrument (guitar, keys, bass, drums, etc.), ability to follow chord charts, play to a click track, and blend with a team.
• Vocalists: Ability to sing in tune, harmonize, blend well vocally, and lead songs when asked. Familiarity with in-ear monitors and singing with a click/multitracks is a plus.
• Willingness to rehearse at home using tools like Planning Center, Multitracks.com, and rehearsal recordings.

Time Commitment
• Serve 1–2 Sundays per month, including:
• Sunday morning call time: Typically 8:00 AM for soundcheck and final rehearsal.
• Participation in both worship and post-worship transitions (e.g., response time, communion songs, etc.).
• Occasional team nights for worship, training, and community building (once per quarter).

Responsibilities
• Come prepared: listen to the setlist, know your parts, and be familiar with arrangements.
• Arrive on time and with a heart ready to serve.
• Follow the worship leader’s direction and support the flow of the service.
• Model worship on and off the platform—engage with the congregation and lead with authenticity.
• Help with setup and teardown as needed, and maintain your gear (instruments, cables, IEMs, etc.).

• One-on-one onboarding and musical assessment before being scheduled.
• Access to song arrangements, practice tracks, and team communication through Planning Center.
• Ongoing coaching and mentoring from worship leaders and senior musicians/vocalists.
